This is why we tell you not to ride outside the gates or on the privacy chamber. THIS is why we have people calling us with our boat IDs and sending us photos when you let your children ride outside the gate. We have been around for over 25 years. Everyone knows our pontoons and our guidelines. If you think you are getting away with something you know you are not supposed to do.. you are wrong! (Side note... this was not one of our customers..)

As I was heading into town this morning for work when the radio started screaming and my phone alert when off.. then my boss called and said "shut it down" a huge windstorm or whatever you want to call it blew through the lake with 80 knot winds. 80 knot winds!! That is 92 mph!!! The buoy went from waves less than half a foot to almost 3 feet from the time I left my house to when I pulled into work.. It is going to take time for this big body of water to calm down! So while the rain has cleared for now, and the sun came out, it is still not safe out there. For that reason, we will remain closed for the remainder of the day. We don't like ruining everyones plans by not letting them out, but we sleep better at night knowing we kept everyone safe. Thank you for understanding. ... See MoreSee Less

Your company caring about people's safety and not the money is the reason we are repeat customers!!!!!

Same with us! I call it a “no liability day”

Did Pictured Rocks curises stop too?

Wow. She’s always an Impressive lake!!

Ya do what ya gotta do for safety.

Safety is always more important! Thankful for local businesses that see the importance of people's lives more so than making money for the day πŸ‘

Where did you see the 80-knot winds? I’m seeing some approaching 40-50 earlier this morning, but nothing close to 80. Were they also out of the SW?

Amen! Glad to know it’s about safety first, nobody can win the battle with Mother Nature! 🀘

We were out there. It picked up quick, she was blowing all of 40-50.

Good call! Have to respect that old girl!

Beautiful!!

Someone’s sitting on my office😜

Sure has been a rough "summer" weather wise around here. We are doing the best we can with what we have to work with, but all we can do is be completely honest with you guys about the lake conditions. Many times this summer the water was too rough to make the Pictured Rocks Shoreline, but still safe to play around the island and see some sights, swim, and fish. Some people chose to go out and play by our rules, some cancelled for a full refund, and some were lucky enough to be able to reschedule for a better day! We will be honest with you, but need you to listen to us and be honest with us too! Safety first! We are closed today due to the small craft advisories. Tomorrow is another day! ... See MoreSee Less

Hoping Thursday is a good day for us!πŸ€πŸ™πŸ€žπŸ™ŒπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

It took us 5 tries over two years to get a day where the weather cooperated. Well worth the wait!! We are very glad you monitor the conditions so we don’t have to. Thank you!!

Thank you for putting safety first. I don't think some people realize how intense it can get out there! You guys are always amazing
